I’ve been drowning in work and projects lately, and I really needed a break. That’s when I had the idea to create a campaign about a getaway with Sri Lankan Airlines.
As a Sri Lankan, I’ve noticed that a lot of tourists and foreigners don’t really talk about the airline’s amazing hospitality or the way it reflects our culture. Especially the food it’s next-level, unlike anything else you’ll get on a flight.
This campaign is all about showing people that a trip with Sri Lankan Airlines isn’t just about getting from one place to another it’s the first step into an incredible flavorful journey.


Food
Okay, first, let’s talk food. Sri Lankan Airlines knows what they’re doing. One of the best dishes they serve is Lamprais, which is basically rice and curry wrapped up in a banana leaf, plus a crispy cutlet on the side. And of course, fresh fruit to round it out.
When I first flew to Canada, the Air Canada airline’s food totally threw me off it’s bland and dry. Nothing like the food I was used to in Sri Lanka. But Sri Lankan Airlines? They get it right. The curries have just the right mix of sweet and spice, giving them that “Oof” factor. If you’re flying with them, this meal is a must-try.
Now, for drinks there’s a ton of options from tea to wine. Every drink comes with cream crackers, because in Sri Lanka, we serve one of the best cup of banging tea. It’s a whole tradition, dunking crackers into hot tea is a classic choice.
Hospitality
Sri Lankan staffs are very hospitable, when flying with Sri Lankan Airlines you immediately feel the warmth and hospitality before you even arrive in Sri Lanka. This is through the Great service, friendly cabin crew, wonderful onboard entertainment and a cracking cup of tea.


My take on the Campaign
This campaign plays on the enchanting idea of snow globes miniature worlds that captivate us with their beauty yet remain sealed behind glass. They symbolize dreams: places we yearn to visit but often feel are out of reach.
SriLankan Airlines transforms that notion. Instead of keeping our travel aspirations confined within a fragile globe, the airline invites passengers to break free and experience their dream destinations for real. The campaign encourages travelers to not just admire distant places, but to step inside them to move beyond imagination and into adventure.
Each snow globe represents a journey waiting to happen, a dream ready to be lived. With SriLankan Airlines, travel isn’t a fantasy it’s a ticket to something real, something unforgettable.
